FOSTER MINDFULNESS TO HELP YOU CULTIVATE SELF LOVE
Being connected to what you feel, think, and want, allows you to remain mindful of who you are and act on this knowledge. Slow down and begin to notice what you’re saying to yourself and the thoughts that you’re having. Reflect on how these are impacting your mood, health, and behavior. When you become mindful of who you are, you’re more likely to act in accordance with this wisdom rather than on what you perceive others want from you.
NURTURING SELF CARE
Feed your body healthy food, your mind healthy thoughts, and take some time to play and engage with others. Don’t forget how important a good night sleep is. When you show yourself love this way, you’ll continue to take better care of your basic needs.
CONNECT TO YOUR BODY
Mindfulness, meditation, and yoga are great ways to learn to pay attention to subtle cues that we gloss over every day as we focus more on our tasks and to-dos. Over time, through engaging in these types of practices and taking the time to tune into your body, you’ll develop a familiar knowing.
LIVE INTENTIONALLY
When you live with purpose and meaning, you’ll make decisions that support your intentions. This makes you feel great about yourself when you accomplish your true purpose. If you set your intention to live in a healthy and mindful way, you will take actions that support this intention.
CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF REGULARLY
We have become so preoccupied with doing, we hardly examine how we are feeling and being mindful everyday helps us connect to ourselves, make informed decisions and actually ensures that we make the relationship with ourselves the most important relationship and that will trickle out to all the relationships in life.
