COMING BACK INTO BALANCE
There's no shortage of challenges and unforeseen events that show up in this life that take us out of balance. It's a daily occurence. It's what we sign up for as humans. The stress response (fight, flight or freeze) is activated in our bodies every time we sense a threat or challenge, be it real or perceived. It's a powerful and amazing evolutionary adaptation that's designed to ensure our survival. It helps us assess and respond to those challenges in the best way we know how. Herein lies the challenge. Our bodies weren't designed to be in the stress response for extended periods of time. Stress in the body that’s not managed can wreak havoc on our physical, mental and emotional well-being. If you’re ready to change your relationship with stress and anxiety, mindfulness coaching has the potential to transform you in the most incredible ways. You have the capacity to bring yourself back into balance when life is feeling turbulent and out of control. It's a skill that can developed and strengthened with practice and I can show you the way!

You can't change what you're not aware of right?! Our heads are often in the clouds, lost in our stories, worries, what if's..etc. In working with me, you will learn practical and accessible mindfulness practices and strategies that will help you understand how your perceptions and thoughts around challenging events, people…etc are more often than not the source of your stress. Regular mindfulness practice helps you cultivate greater awareness of the body (sensations and emotions) and mind. This allows you to start seeing with more clarity the whole mental and emotional show going on within. This is big! Why? Well, you begin to experience first-hand your ability to choose a wise response in any given situation as opposed to reacting and being swept away by powerful thoughts and emotions. This is a superpower skill and it's ready to be developed by you with my help.

HOW I WORK WITH YOU
My interactions with you will always be kind and non-judgemental. I like to keep the coaching experience light and engaged. I want you to learn and grow in meaningful ways. The coaching process starts with us discussing the core issue (s) that you're wanting to address. I help you set intentions, or a direction that you would like to go in with the things you're wanting to shift. This is followed by learning more deeply about the basic philosophy of mindfulness practice. I encourage you to engage in daily practices like conscious breathing exercises, mindfulness meditation, mindful journaling, gratitude...etc. We connect in person, Zoom or phone (based on your comfort levels) approximately every two weeks to check in on your progress and any challenges still being experienced. We celebrate all the small shifts and changes that happen along the way. The degree to which you grow through this process will be determined by your willingness to engage in daily mindfulness practices. It truly is all about the practice. The possibilities for you to feel more grounded, calm and at peace in a busy, complex world are within your control!
